Memorable Events In Shanghai.........

haha this entry is like supposed to be posted 2 to 3 weeks ago.... but think onli nw then got the free time to do it... well so guess like could onli rem the more unique and extra-ordinary things that we did here in shanghai....

for the start... the first thing tat came to my mind is the restaurant Pitch Black.... let me show you all some pics of this restaurant first.....

haha dun be mistaken....its not some pub or clubbing place.... its juz a normal restaurant tat serves normal food.... haha but as you all can see from the menu... the cheapest meal available already cost 168 RMB... which is abt $34....

well wats so special abt here... firstly as the name of the restaurant suggested, Pitch Black... the envt here is totally dark... wat u saw in all these pics are the 1st storey where it is partially dark, so basically, u can choose to dine in partially darkness or total darknes... the total darkness is at the 2nd floor... and of cos dun expect mi to bring in my cam to the 2nd floor... even have to change to certain attire to dine on the second floor, and things tat reflect light or emit light is not allowed on the 2nd floor....

so when i mean totally blackness... its right to the 100% meaning of the word totally... cos even if u place ur thumb right in front of ur eyeball, u still cant see a single color on the skin on ur thumb other than the total blackness.... so nw's the interesting part.... all ur food is served in darkness with thr deesert unknown!! so u get to try and guess wat u r eaating for the dessert... of cos u get to choose ur meal... for the 168 yuan... it comes wif a main dish... think chicken bits or lamb chop in salad... (you shd be able to guess y its chop... cos dun expect mi to eat meat wif all the bones when i cant even see anything....lol)... then plus a salad of ur choice and a soup of ur choice, mineral water and the secret dessert:)..... oya...the most impt thing...the highlight.... u r served by blind ppl !!!!

well nw abt my experience... haha we were led into the room in a row.... with 1 person hand on the other front person shoulder... then its like hav to go through a few thick curtains... then its totally dark... so basically I hav to feel for my fork and knife.... of cos u noe who's sitting beside u and opposite of u.... so everything hav to rely on feeling.... oya... if u juz keep ur eyes open... you will be juz seeing darkness... it feels like u r really blind and well guess tats strainous to the eyes... so after a well mi juz shut my eyes... then mi wll start to fall aslp....lol... oya side track..(this restaurant onli operates at 2 different timing... think we enter at the 8.30pm timing... cos we reach there at ard 7 plus... but still hav to wait b4 they can start everything...)...

well... the dishes tasted ok.. not bad.. haha even if its chao ta..you oso cant see... prob tat juz use some spices to mask over the smell:).... well.... initially its difficult for mi to navigate my fork and knife wif the meat on the plate.... so eating speed drops... but its ok they will wait for u to finish b4 serving the next dish... haha the chicken chop is ok... but when the salad comes... its disaster.... cos the cabbage all in diff shape and sizes... hw you gonna feel wats the size... unlike the chop..at least u can cut to ur mouth size... so well the cabbage and the salad sauce was all over my mouth...lol:) haha but who cares,,,nobody can see... think tats the most ugly eating style I would ever have... then left the bread crumbs/bits in the salad.. well if you gonna use ur fork to poke.. guess would take years..so aiya heck care.. juz use my best sensing tool.... my bare hands:)....

haha the soup of cos no prob... usually will use spoon... but spoon so slow and scare later spill onto my shirt or jeans hw?... so its the barbarian style again.. (haha nobody noes whether u using spoon or the barbarian way...) so i juz take the whole bowl... then juz drink from the bowl.... haha in the end of cos i'm the first the finish the soup... but shhh... juz pretend still drinkin...waiting for those more culture ppl using spoon....lol:) then it comes the dessert... the secret dessert.... haha dun wry its not some barbecued snail or watever.... we tried to figure out wats the dessert... it turns out to be some fruit pie/cake... well not bad sia.... rather tasty....:)

ok so of cos there's a feeling after all this unique enjoyment... you really get to understand the tough life tat the blind ppl are going through... even a simple meal is oso so difficult....hmm... so guess we r rather fortunate that we can see this beautiful world....haha think this entry unknowingly has turn out to be too long le... dun hav enuf place to blog other events:)... till the next article.... mi gonna blog next abt my work first...lol:)

well....ET-001

well...perhaps by now some of you all may hav guessed who's ET-001... haha he's not veri hard to guess...rather prominent in cbe and who's on GIP now:).... well he's quite happening here in shanghai... although i'm not staying wif him in the same apartment...(phew... but can still get news abt him...cos he's too popular le... and my apartment mate, cz juz nice, she oso same company as him....)...

so the story goes like this.... well... juz a brief update... for those who dunno.... ET-001 does not stay wif any of us.... he stay wif his MAE fren of which the rest of the apartment are all MAE students... so he onli noe his MAE fren, all the other MAE fren he doesnt noe...in total there's 5 MAE's.... well a bit sad for him... but happy for myself...lol:)

so lets start off wif the first thing... first of all the most impact and lasting joke abt him is regarding his mac notebook.... well as some of u all may noe... he juz bought a mac book not too long ago back in singapore and so he brought it wif him over here to sh... so he's using it in his work place in the company... well but the way he using it is over too extreme.... first of all in the office... he veri scared tat other ppl will dirty his notebook... so every time a person gets near his notebook... he will try to act very concern and cautious...rather panic tat any single particle or dust may drop onto his mac screen.... wa biang....he think his notebook make of diamond ar...... then he will use tissue paper..(opened up) to lay a layer over his mouse... so as to protect it... and well if its some intelligent mac mouse, its reasonable..can understand... but its juz some jia ba lan brand.... so everydae he will take some tissue paper to cover his mouse and so can imagine him scrolling and clicking on the tissue paper...over cautious sia....

then comes the food... come on lah... food here is veri safe de... dun understand y so scared will kena stomachache... if kena then kena la... not as if will die lik dat... haiz... so the first few days here in sh... he dun dare to eat outside food... those on the street 1... so if u dun dare to eat..then its ur dai ji.... then dun bother other ppl la... where got ppl eatin halfway then he suddenly pop a qn... " you not scared if kena diahrea meh"... geez... think every1 so scared lik u meh.... haiz... well next comes another classic issue.... haiz... throw our guys face sia.... well this event happens at his company dinner... (rem? got 1 of my apartment mate, cz who so suey to kena the same company as him? ) well so she was oso there wif ET-001 at their company annual dinner....so they were all sat at a round table wif many other big boss.... as so as per normal... the big bosses will cheers wif the new interns the red wine... well aparently... ET-001 scared to drink the red wine... saying he will get drunk or cannot take the taste.... come on lah... juz red wine onli... will die meh... its not any hard liquor lor... well so wat he does when the boss cheers wif him... he juz pretend to take a sip... then store in his mouth... dun dare to gulp down tat small sip....dotz man.... well even the gals drank finish the whole cup of red wine... haiz... some more he even ask cz whether want to change the wine to coke... wa kao.... the whole table every1 drinking wine lah... where got so off de... drink wat coke sia... so in the end cz bo chap him and continue her red wine..then ET juz lan lan store tat sip in his mouth... geez....

well another update abt him is saying tat he's very touchy.... cos he staying wif a whole grp of MAE guys then.. the nearby apartment oso got a grp of GIP gals staying together... so wat happen is... ET juz got to noe them onli for a few days...then he become super touchy... go and get super close to the gals... touch here and there... the hands and wat ever la.... omg... think the gals in cbe will oso agree to tat or may hav even witness or heard abt it... lik issues back in singapore happening to some cbe gals....

then in his office... he super damn slacker... ppl so busy yet he free until nothing to do... every dae on the com juz watch guan lan gao shou.. (basketball anime/show)... sucks sia.. then watch you tube anime.... well tats fine... but not until the extreme tat even when the boss walk pass he juz continue watchin the anime... as though nth happen like dat... wtf... want ppl to condemn NTU students again meh...haiz... at least see boss come muz wayang a bit ma... no wonder ppl say his EQ damn low sia....

oya another update from his apartment mate... they all oso throw ET-001 aside de... lik when they eat... ET dun join them... dunno y he dun wan join them oso... and oso the rest oso gather in a room to chit chat... then left ET alone... he juz stay in his own room watch anime... geez sia... then whenever his apartment mates wanna share smth...like purchasing some common stuff... lik perhaps washing powder or pizza or anyhing... he juz dun wan to join in de... well...tats his life back in his apartment...(haha mi too lazy to type the 001... so juz type ET le)....

ok think this article getting a bit long le.... mi oso gotta slp le...nw already 1am le ...tmr still nid to wake up early to work lor... mi not ET...who so free can watch anime in office de.... then some more too shag le.. when to clubbing yest and KTV till 6am... so slpt rather little... then guess today muz try to slp more... oya here in shanghai is snowing... and its reported tat china is nw facing the biggest snow disaster in a decade.... well aparently its so big tat in suzhou... you can build an ice man out from the snow.. and there's jam and flight delay everywhere in beijing... haha the snow is fun..but it too many days then it gets a bit sianz... cos too cold le.... oya mi travelling durin the cny break....will update more abt things happening and ET in the next few articles...gtg zZzzZZ..:)

Days in beijing (part 1)

well it has been abt 3 weeks since i left singapore... and there's many things happening here.. too many things to cover le..so think i juz cover wat i could still remember... ok first lets start off with the weather... the most horrific thing in china... well at first, i love the coldness... cos singapore is juz simply an oven... too hot le..but nw then i treasure this heat that is gone... well in beijing...its 0 to 5 degree celcius...even when u tok oso got smoke come out de.... it juz shows hw cold the weather is...even the birds, dogs r damn fat... so was wondering hw could such a fat bird still able to fly.... oso the air here is veri dry...so dry until ur skin can start to peel off... so then of cos u nid to apply moisturiser....lol..... but mi a bit lazy to apply so sometimes mi never apply then juz slp le...

ok next on the food in sh... in general the food here is a bit more oily, more sweet.... but the food here is indeed really really veri tasty... and shd be quite safe...cos so far i haven eaten bao ji wan... or hav lao sai...:) well.... for beijing... we spurge a lot on food... typically abt 15o yuan per meal... abt 30 sing.... but the food is really power... one of the best restaurant is the quan ju de... where its speciality is duck food.... so we ordered quite a no of duck dishes... got beijing roast duck...tats veri veri delicious... it sliced into thin pieces then we wrap the thing up in a thin mian pi together wif sweet sauce and cucumber and so on... its heavenly man... then the chef oso sliced the whole duck in front of out at our table then placed all the sliced meat and togehter wif the left over bones...well think expecting us oso to eat the bones...and well i tried... the bones really is cool... it has all the spices on it... juz simply amazing... then after the meal... they oso present us wif certificates...lol... its the certificate like we hav eaten the number dunno hw many millionth and thousandth duck.... so each duck comes wif a number identity....lol.... ok then we oso tried many road side food... the bing tang hu lu.... the red red circle thing the several of it stick onto a wooden stick... well tat 1 at first sight looks tasty... so many of us bought it...but after 1 bite.. it tastes weird..so for mi...i will never buy it again..lol... and of cos we saw centipides and many other funny thing there for food.... well.... of cos there's many other lighter food... like you tiao and tao hua... all taste excellent... and oso we bought too many mini cream puffs... cos we dunno hw much is yi jing... 1 jing... so we ordered 1 jing of cream puffs...well the puffs r excellent... but its juz too much...over whelming le.... then there's oso many other good food tat we tried out... as for mi... i like spicy food...but sad to say the spicy food in beijing is not spicy at all....:) so personally i miss spicy food and of cos my bandito and hello panda!!!! oya the mac here opens 24 hrs oso... and its all the branches!!!! amazing man... considering that onli few years ago china allow mac to enter its market and nw everywhere i go can see mac... and all are 24hrs... oya there pork burger in china....haha haven really try 1 yet....:)

ok enuf of food...next move on to a weird thing tat we all did in beijing.... cos after food entry mi will automatically think of this event...haha:) well cos we onli tour beijing for 5 days so we stay in a hostel... then we dun wanna dirty the toilet...cos its all 8 of us staying in a room.... wif double deck beds... so wat we do when we wanna bomb is.... we will look ard beijing when we tour to mark out those posh hotels... esp those 5 star hotel... then we will revisit that area specially to bomb there b4 returning to our hostel....lol:) so every 2 days hav to bomb, so we hav to keep looking out for new hotel...cos canot keep returning back to the same hotel....later the ppl there will recognise us sia...:)

hmm.... think this entry quite long le... think for the tour and sites tat we visit plus other interesting things mi will post it under part 2... as for another special highlight and update on the ET-001 (guess u all shd noe who he is.....) mi will post it on another entry..cos his story is too much le... can hav an entry on its own...lol

Sec Class Gathering....

hmm...mi originally had something on tat dae....so couldnt make it... but in the end... i cant make it to both the events...cos tat dae very dizzy and kena fever.... think until nw still havin a bit dizzyness in mi.... anyway here's most of my sec sch frens photo...:) cheers
